Thetford residents wishing to use the Town’s Recycling Center , for trash or recycling, must purchase a permit, currently $18. Permits are available at town hall during their regular business hours.

Trash Ticket Sales
Trash tickets for use at the Thetford Recycling Center may be purchased for $3.85 per ticket at Thetford Village Store, Thetford Center, daily during store hours.

Items Accepted for Recycling
New Recycling options offered as of October 1, 2005:

#1 Scrap Metal Program: No changes. Leave materials behind Recycling Shed as usual.

#2 Glass Program:

Items that are still functional and in good shape (small electrical appliances, tools, toys, books) can be left for others to pick up and use. NO CLOTHING, FURNITURE, or BROKEN ITEMS will be accepted, as the Town of Thetford must pay to dispose of anything that does not find a home.
